1. The importance of proper enclosure design techniques

Civets are inherently wild animals with highly territorial behavior and are quite sensitive to their surrounding environment. A standard enclosure system will help:

  • Limit diseases: A well-ventilated, easy-to-clean environment helps prevent respiratory and digestive diseases.
  • Optimize reproductive rates: A quiet, safe space stimulates the natural reproductive instincts of civets.
  • Save labor: An automatic or semi-automatic waste collection system helps reduce cleaning time by up to 50% every day.

2. Selecting the location and direction of the enclosure

With the specific weather of abundant sunshine and characteristic sea breezes in the South Central region, choosing the location for the farm requires attention to the following factors:

4. Optimal and durable enclosure materials

5.1. Catchment floor design

5.3. Biogas digester / Settling tank

If using the water-hosing method, all drainage trenches must lead directly to a Biogas digester system or sealed composting pit to thoroughly treat the wastewater before discharging it into the environment.
